=== Symbols and heraldry ===
The national symbols of Rovenia have undergone numerous revisions due to its political changes. The coat of arms depicts a stylized black raven (*Gavez*) on a silver shield, originating from the 11th-century heraldic badge of the House of Rovanski.

The national flag, adopted following the 1990 democratic transition, is a horizontal [[w:Tricolor (flag)|tricolor]] of white, dark blue, and red, charged with the national coat of arms in the upper hoist. Under the Heraldic Restoration Act of 2012, traditional regional and municipal coats of arms were restored, resolving historic disputes between royalist, socialist, and regional heraldic traditions.
